Swim Yoga Beach Retreat

3 nights self-catering accommodation in a 3 star hostel in the south of Harris, near the stunning beaches of South Harris, you'll be spoilt for choice for swim locations. Your accommodation is situated near a restaurant and bar and mini-market for daily supplies (excluding Sunday). You will be given the option to shop at a supermarket in Stornoway before arriving at your accommodation and also have the option of grabbing breakfast at a local fast-food van with the convenience of the restaurant or bar in the evenings (excluding Sundays).

Sample swims: Traigh Mheilein to Scarp; Horgabost to Taransay; Luskentyre; Temple beach and many more to be added

Hostel is exclusively booked for your weekend and is perfect for kicking back after a challenging day of swim treks in the Hebrides.

This weekend is for those who like to be active and love to explore new swim spots with a new challenge every day.

Spring Bank Holiday Weekend (UK)

If you're looking for a fully immersive weekend to get your open water experience up then this is the weekend for you. You'll be taken to some stunning outer islands and beaches (or lochs if weather decides) and given open water safety tips, survival techniques and coaching tips by an experienced open water swimmer and coach in some of the most beautiful locations the Hebrides has to offer. There is endless exploration potential and we will make sure your experience here makes you want to return for more.

 

You'll be staying in the historical village of Gearranan featured in the Christmas Special of Call the Midwife, Isle of Lewis in 2 star hostel-style accommodation in a traditional stone-built blackhouse with outstanding views over the Atlantic Ocean. The hostel is exclusively booked for your weekend and is perfect for kicking back after a challenging day of swims in the clear waters of the Hebrides. There's a cafe on site, magnificent sea views and coastal paths right outside your door. Facilities are shared.

Lewis Beaches Beginner Open Water Swim Weekend

18th-21st September 2020

Beginner/New Open Water Swimmer

Confident swimming in a swimming pool for over 10 minutes continuously. Can tread water for a few minutes but has never tried open water swimming before or has very little experience of it. 

Improver

Has recently started open water swimming and swims regularly in local open water swimming venue(s). Still requires guidance and coaching but can swim distances of 1 km+.

Experienced Open Water Swimmer

Regularly swims in open water venues and can swim up to 2 miles confidently in either freshwater or sea. Likely has experience of triathlon and other open water events.

Marathon Swimmer

Experience of swimming long-distances of 10+ kilometres often and acclimatised to all year round temperatures either in skins or wetsuit. Most likely a cross-channel swimmer.
