You will be notified when the minimum number is reached. In the event of Immerse Hebrides cancelling your holiday we will offer you a full refund of the holiday price or another place equal to the value of your original booking on another holiday of your choice with Immerse Hebrides subject to availability. Prices can vary between holidays. We cannot be held liable for any travel arrangements you have made before we confirm the holiday as going ahead.
You are strongly urged to take out personal travel insurance to cover the cost of your flights or ferry bookings in the event of cancellation as we cannot offer financial protection for travel to the islands.
COVID-19
In the event of governmental travel restrictions due to COVID-19 at the time of your booked holiday and/or forced cancellation of your holiday by us for the same reason, the full price of your holiday will be refunded minus a £50 admin fee. This full refund does not apply to those who are personally affected by COVID-19 or any other illness and medical travel insurance should be taken out to cover this event. Please adhere to Scottish Government COVID-19 advice and guidance for the duration of your holiday.
Alterations
We can accept alterations to group size or people travelling up to 28 days prior to the holiday start. An admin fee of £30 may apply.
Health conditions
Please notify us of any medical condition which may affect you during your holiday, such as a heart or lung condition, diabetes, epilepsy or pregnancy. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically fit for open water swimming. You are advised to consult with your general practitioner if you have concerns about cold water swimming.
Fitness
A certain level of fitness is required for our holidays as you will be walking over moderate and sometimes rocky terrain. Also, you will be swimming in the open water with temperatures likely below 15 degrees Celsius. Please ensure you have the appropriate equipment for walking and appropriate wetsuit for these temperatures or have acclimatized sufficiently before your holiday. Wetsuits can also be hired and are sometimes included in the holiday price. Most of our beaches have limited access and sometimes requires walking on uneven paths or steep sand dunes.
Equipment
You are expected to bring appropriate equipment with you for walking and swimming outdoors in the Hebrides but an essential kit list will be provided prior to your holiday. You must be prepared for all types of weather as poor planning can affect enjoyment and safety of you and other group members. If you fail to bring the recommended equipment it might affect your ability to participate in certain activities. Immerse Hebrides cannot be held liable for any financial compensation if the kit list is not adhered to.
Wetsuits are available to hire for an additional fee of £40 for weekend breaks and £60 for week long breaks if not inclusive in holiday price. Tow-floats and caps will be supplied free of charge but you are encouraged to bring your own equipment that you are familiar with if you have.
Travel to and from the Outer Hebrides
Travel to and from the Outer Hebrides is not included in your holiday price. This should be arranged independently. Immerse Hebrides cannot be held financially liable for any cancellations or delays in your independent travel arrangements and you are advised to take out personal travel insurance to cover any delays or cancellations. We will however try and accommodate any delays in your arrival as much as is practically possible without it affecting the whole group. Complimentary local transport is available on arrival to the Outer Hebrides, during your stay and departure.
Alterations to itinerary
The weather in the Hebrides can be unpredictable which can lead to last minute alterations to your itinerary. We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary if the inclement weather might affect your safety or enjoyment. In the unlikely event that the weather prevents all outdoor activities we will offer alternative activities such as tourist attraction trips or indoor activities. Living on smaller islands we have the advantage of finding more sheltered areas to walk and swim and it would be unlikely not to find an alternative safer walking and swimming route.
